Monday, February 2, 2009 at 10:53AM When I was in D.C. recently I spent a considerable amount of time on the Metro which is the second busiest mass transit system after NYC's subway system and busier than Chicago's 'L'. The thing that I noticed immediately was how quite the trains were. Why can't the CTA use similar wheels and/or track to reduce the noise pollution that currently exists? Montreal's mass transit system is maybe the best from a noise standpoint as they use some sort of rubber covered wheels which makes for a much more enjoyable mass transit experience.

Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at 10:58AM I came across Tripit several months ago but due to my lack of travel over the past few months I haven't had a chance to see the application in action. After importing a recent trip into the site I have to say it is extremely easy and useful once the information is in the itinerary. It automatically builds maps to travel locations and gives you the map around hotels. You can also add events, meetings, etc. to your itinerary so all travel, meetings, dinners, etc. are in one place. Check it out, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Tripit
Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at 10:16AM Michael Brown who is the Director of Mobile and Entertainment at Digitaria in SF writes today about the 8 reasons why your business shouldn't wait another day to develop an Iphone application. My take on this is that Iphone applications and Iphone optimized mobile sites will continue to erode the retail advertising business of print and radio. Because of the personal and location based nature of Iphones they are and will be increasingly used to find stores, restaurants, events etc.
